The NASCAR Sprint Cup series will return to Loudon, New Hampshire for the Lenox Industrial Tools 301, on Sunday, June 27th. New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a 1.058 mile track. It is one of the most unique tracks that drivers have run. The track opened in 1990 and the NASCAR Sprint Cup series started racing there in 1993.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway really is a unique track. To the Martinsville track, it is similar, only bigger. The long straightaways allow drivers to work up a high speed, but the corners are very flat, which puts a heavy emphasis on braking. This is one of those tracks where a careful driver is better than a fast driver is, at times.

This race was won by NASCAR lines star, Joey Logano, last year. However, 18th is only his average finish at the track. Denny Hamlin runs great at New Hampshire and he is having a spectacular year. He has finished in the top ten 6 times and has an average finish of 7.5. Jeff Burton, a driver that is often overlooked but could have a great run at New Hampshire. He has won here 4 times in the past.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire rarely disappoints, all in all. The fact that the track is just over a mile keeps the drivers from becoming too stretched out and the track is a challenge for the drivers. Typically, fast speeds combined with short tempers leads to a very entertaining race.
