For an incredible 32nd straight year, the world will be without a Triple Crown Winner in the world of horse racing.

Each year it seems, for the winner of the Kentucky Derby in hopes that a Triple Crown might be earned, the world gets excited, but each year the fans of the sport are disappointed to see another horse and jockey fall short in their attempt at history.

With Super Saver, triple Crown betting favorite and Jockey Calvin Borel, this season the story started. This combination put together a wonderful Kentucky Derby. To win the 136th Kentucky Derby, they managed to hold off Ice Box and Jose Lezcano. They even were able to withstand an incredible late charge from Paddy O’Prady and took the race. Unfortunately for Super Saver, the Preakness didn’t go as planned.

Stakes Super Saver and Calvin Borel didn’t even manage to finish within the top 3 of the event, at the Preakness Stakes. The horse has not able to sustain the advantage, after jumping out to an early lead in the event. Eventually, the horse dropped to the 8th position in the race behind Borel.

The upcoming event at Belmont will be more or less insignificant as per these results. Simply horses and jockeys looking to make more money, there are no candidates to make history. Horse Racing fans will have to wait yet another year to see a horse take a run for history and the Triple Crown. To see who the next horse to make a push for history will be, until then they can just hope and watch out.
